Could anyone please give some guidence on where to disable
the screen saver option within the registry of Windows
2000.

Disable as in turn it off (per user)
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\
"ScreenSaveActive"= [ 1 | 0 ]
REG_SZ

Disabe as in prohibit.
GPO
\User Config.\Admin. Templates\Control panel\Display\ ...
(several options there)
