Disabling Proxy Server in Internet Coonection !!

PLEASE HELP ! I have dial up connection to the internet. Wanted to speed my
browsing experience, so I installed an accelarator - faster connection to
Internet. OK.

Everything went fine, and speed was great, but then the accelerator stopped
running. I contacted support, they asked me to: check Internet Options tapb,
then Connections, then go to settings, disable/uncheck USE PROXY Server box,
also go to LAN settings, and do the same there. I did both of them, but then
everytime I log in again to the Internet/connection - I check the Options
then Connection, and there you have the box 'checked' byitself again "USE
Proxy server". In both 'settings, and LAN. Disable agina and again, but it
comes back - something in my IE or Win XP system that just refuses to let go
of 'using' PROXY server for my internet connection!~

How to turn of USING PROXY SERVER permanantly! HELP.

Most Web Accelerators work by redirecting you to a proxy server. The
proxy keeps copies of frequently browsed web pages, and sends them to
your computer in compressed form. This makes your web connection appear
to be faster (actually it doesn't change the speed at all).

If you didn't uninstall the accelerator properly, some of the program's
settings will still be active on your computer. You can often solve this
problem by re-installing the program, then uninstalling it from Control
Panel, Add/Remove programs.

If that doesn't work, repost your question. Be sure to include the name
of your ISP, and the name of the accelerator program. Also include the
version of Windows XP (Home or Pro) that you are using.
