Disabling Popups

A while ago I read an article in one of the magazines
that told me how to disable pop-ups on Internet
Explorer. I thought that was a grand idea, but now, in a
hotel trying to get on the internet so I can check my
email, I can't connect because the hotel uses pop-ups for
the login. I don't have the magazine with me and I can't
figure out what I did to disable them.

Does anyone know what I did so I can back out of it and
check my email?

I'm running XP Home and IE6.

It depends on the pop up utility. Try clicking on the link while holding
down either the CTRL or SHIFT key. That may override the blocking feature.
