I have a professional business machine running Win. 2000
that I would like to use for personal use but when I turn
it on it asks me to logon to the network or the computer.
I am unable to do so because I am not hooked up to a home
network and the computer does not have a modem. Is there
any way to disable this logon feature? I am not a
computer professional so please explain in simple terms
if this is possible!

Control Panel|Users and Passwords|Advanced, then uncheck the box for
"Require users........"
