Disabling Flash

Hello Experts,
I have IE6 on Win98SE.

Is there any way in IE6 to disable flash movies? They sometimes create
serious problems for me.

I use EMS Free Surfer Companion from http://www.kolumbus.fi/eero.muhonen/FS/
(Mentioned on that page.) It stops pop-ups and can disable Flash.

A few redirect sites are in my HOSTS file because of Flash pop-ups.
