I have used the DHCPDisableMediaSense to work around networking problems I am
having with some XP wireless machines with Joining to domain and processing
Group Policies. As per technet article
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;239924
I wondered if anyone knew exactly what this does and what downsides there
are to disabling the media sense. Reason being I'm considering setting this
option globally to avoid this problem happening as I get more wireless of
similar configuration and would prefer not to have to manually do this when I
get a problem if there's no glaring reason why I shouldn't.
Thanks,
Marcus
