I HAVE A CPU I PURCHASED USED WITH WIN 2000PR OPERATING
SYSTEM INSTALLED.THE BOOT REQUIRES A PASSWORD WICH I HAVE,
HOWEVER I DONOT NEED THIS SECURITY FOR MY PURPOSES. I WISH
TO DISABLE OR REMOVE PASSWORD.

If it is a cmos boot password, you will need to access cmos [usually delete during
boot up] to deactivate it. If it happens after W2K starts to load it is you will have
to use "syskey" in the run box or at the command prompt to disable it by choosing
store key locally. --- Steve
