disable user and pass on computer startup

Hello,
I'm using Windows XP Professional, and each time on startup, it stop for a
moment before showing the desktop, asking me for a user name and password.
The username is Administrator and the passwork is blank, so I normally just
press the Enter key... Is it possible to avoid this screen and go straight to
desktop?

Thank you

1- You're using the computer's built-in Administrator account for day to
day computing, which means you have no lifeline to help you if you
encounter problems.

2- You have posted your user name and the fact that you have no password
for everyone to see, including people who will try to infect your computer.

3- You are asking about how to give these people an easier way to infect
your computer and gain total control over it.

I use XP professional on my home computer, and anyway this is the default
user/pass that ships with Windows, so anyone could just randomly hack into my
computer. Anyway, I changed my username and password, but it doesn't really
matter because all the firewall and security suits can be eventually hacked
(by the way, I just formatted my computer and all I have there are PowerPoint
presentations from my school.. so nothing "confidential"...)

When I used Windows XP Home edition, I didn't have such login screen (for
the username and password), and I went straight into my desktop.

How can it be done now?

Hi there,

I've seen this question asked a dozen times in these groups but can't
think of the answer right off and I'm using Ubuntu operating system at
the moment so I can't check that way.

I'm sure a quick google on "bypass windows logon" will give you what you
need. Include the quotes for best results. Well, that didn't work, kept
getting the wrong results, however a search on win xp logon resulted in
the following link:

But, the information in the following link is better and should solve
your problem.
