Disable Startup Items

I am accostumed to using 'msconfig' to disable starup
items, however, that doesn't seem to work in XP. Any help
would be greatly appreciated
 
msconfig is intended to be a troubleshooting tool, and not a permanent way
to prevent programs from starting with Windows.

To prevent a program from starting with Windows:
1. open the program and look through its menus for an option to not start
with Windows; or
2. remove the program's shortcut in the Startup folder; or
3. uninstall the program.
