Disable Journal

I have a user that has enabled Journal in Outlook XP and this is causing Outlook to slow to a crawl when she tries to access her e-mail. Does anyone know how to disable Journal so maybe she could gain the speed back in Outlook?

Tools, Options, Journal Options. Uncheck all the events that are being
journaled.
