Disable IE certificates 'Security Alert' ?

Hi, I have IE connecting to 2003 Server for Outlook Web Access - this is
working fine.

The URL to the server is via IP but the SSL certificate its getting from
the server is registered to its proper domain name - so IE complains and
says the certificate name does not match th ename of the site.

Now you can just say 'Yes' to proceed and thats fine but Id rather this
pop-up doddnt appear. Installing the certificate with the
'Install'option doesnt cure this.

I couldnt find the tick box for 'Ignore certificate source mismatch' or
similar - is there one?

I notice Firefox doesnt worry about this and just goes to the OWA login
screen directly.

Any help appreciated.

(p.s. the reason Im not using the domain name in the URL is that the
this actually maps to an out sourced mail spam filter)

Hi,

Try the following:

Close all instances of IE.
Open a single IE session.
Click on |Tools| -> |Internet Options|.
Click on the |Advanced Tab|.
Scroll down to the |Security| Settings.

Uncheck the following:

Warn about invalid site certificates.

Click on OK to save your changes and exit Internet Explorer
Options box.

If this doesn't help, please feel free to post back,

Best regards,

Altrus
