Disable disconnect

How do I disable the disconnect option for terminal service users. I was able
to set the policy under user configuration so they can not shutdown or
restart the server, but I want to stop them from disconne3cting sessions and
tying up resources.

You cannot totally prevent users from disconnecting (they can
always just turn off their clients, or unplug the network cable),
but you can make life hard for them :)
One approach is to put a short time-out limit on disconnected
sessions, and have the sessions reset automatically when the time-
out limit is reached. With this configuration, there is nothing to
be gained by disconnecting, since the session will be gone the next
time the user tries to reconnect. Note that resetting a session
will cause all data that has not been saved to be lost, so be sure
to inform your users before you implement this!

The other thing you can do is hack the rdp client to get rid of the
X-box in the rdp window. Detailed information here:

Can I reply here with the opposite request? :)

I want my users accounts to AUTOMATICALLY reset about a minute after they
disconnect. I have set this up in each users account as well as in the
orveride for all account, but on most of my account, it does not reset them.
People remain simply disconnect for days sometimes. This really can screw up
printer reconnection. Is there something I am missing?

My users all have Windows 2000 Pro on their workstations and use RDC to
connect. The Terminal Server is Windows 2003 Server. Should this still apply?

Well, hotfix and SP1 were both done.

I will redo the hotfix, but any other thoughts?

Which means that, these hotyfixes were already in place, and it is not
working...

Not really.
I would however minimize the administrative overhead, by
configuring this setting only in one place: through a Group Policy.
That makes troubleshooting a lot easier, since you can easily
verify if the policy is affecting a certain user or not (with the
Resultant Set of Policies). It also means that you can apply the
same GPO to more than one Terminal Server, without having to redo
all the settings on each new TS.

With you current configuration, is there anything different between
the users who are getting disconnected, and those who aren't?
Is there anything in the eventlog on the TS?
