disable a start up program

Randy

I am trying to remove or disable from Startup "Microsoft
Magnifier"
I cannot find a way to delete it, so I would like to stop
it from opening on start up. Is there a way to do this?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Randy,

I found some information in one of our articles that could help you disable
Magnifier - I'll include a link to the article below. You should be able
to go to Start / Programs / Accessories / Accessibility and click on
'Utility Manager'. In Utility Manager you will see a list of Accessibility
utilities. Magnifier will be on the list. You should be able to highlight
it and click the Stop button and modify any of the 'Start automatically'
options you need to so that it will not start anymore.

If you're familiar with Windows 98, it had a system
configuration utility that would let you access and modify
the startup list of applications that started during
boot-up and ran in the background. Win 2000 does not have
that utility but you can download one from the website of
the writer: (e-mail address removed). He calls it Startup and it
seems to work quite well. An advantage over the Win98
utility is that you don't have to restart the computer afer
changing the startup list.
