Disaapearing Taskbar Buttons

Somehow I have lost my taskbar buttons showing my open applications. Does
anyone know how I might get them back? Using alt-tab to find what is
running/minimized is driving me nuts!

Is it only the buttons that are missing, or is the whole taskbar itself
actually missing?

Nathan,

The taskbar is visible. I can add/remove toolbars or reposition the taskbar,
but taskbar buttons will not display my running apps. If I remove all
toolbars, the whole taskbar disappears and I can't drag it up to it's
"normal" position without adding a toolbar, such as Quick Launch, to it. If
I log in as a different user, there is no problem. It appears to behave
badly under my account only.

Go to Kelly's http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_u.htm#xp_util
and get her Taskbar Plus repair tool The Taskbar section has a
'Missing minimised programs' fix that should deal with it
