Directx9 not windows logo tested??? please help

Please help,

I'm trying to install direct x 9.0
i've tried the download from microsoft and from a computer magazine disk.
i keep getting the message saying it has not been logo tested and the
program will not be installed
I've been pulling my hair out!!
p.s I have the latest driver for my video card : nvidia geforce ti200

The Software You Are Installing Has Not Passed Windows Logo Testing to
Verify It's Compatibility with Windows XP.

Update the video driver to the latest certified ones (usually found on
nVidia's web site www.nvidia.com)
