DirectX9.0b dxdiag d3d test-error

I have a GeForce FX5200 and winxp with DX9.0b installed.
Problem is that I dont get direct3d to work properly.
When I run the tests dx7 works, dx8 gets an error that's
something like "Step1 loading dll" (in swedish: Fel vid
steg 1 (DLL-fil för Direct3D läses in): HRESULT =
0x80004005). dx9 produces a black screen for a sec and
then makes dxdiag to close. I have reinstalled dx9.0b
several times and allso tested different nVidia drivers
but nothing works. Anyone that can help me? Is there a
way to force directx to reinstall all files and not just
test them for new files..? Please help 'couse I am
getting mad and cracy over not finding any help and being
directed in cricles on microsofts damn supportpages!!!

Failure at step 1 (Loading Direct3D DLL): HRESULT =
0x80004005 (Generic failure) it's in english

I have also used a tool to uninstall dx9 and restoring
dx8.1 from the cd. And then installed dx9 again (no it
didnt work in dx8.1 either). Not working. HEY MICROSOFT!
You got crap on your doorstep again... fix it!!!
