I have been reading through the post about Directx not
installing. I have been trying to install it with out any
luck. Then I read that XP SP2 includes DX 9.0c. I run
dxdiag.exe and it says I have version 8.1. Does anyone
know why dxdiag.exe displays the wrong version?

Do you have Service Pack 2 installed?
