DirectX problem?

Running the DxDiag, I get the following:
Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D.dll: missing!
Microsoft.DirectX.DirectDraw.dll: missing!
Microsoft.DirectX.DirectInput.dll: missing!
Microsoft.DirectX.DirectPlay.dll: missing!
Microsoft.DirectX.DirectSound.dll: missing!
Microsoft.DirectX.AudioVideoPlayback.dll: missing!
Microsoft.DirectX.Diagnostics.dll: missing!
Microsoft.DirectX.dll: missing!
Is this a problem &, is so, please advise how I may fix it.

You could reinstall DirectX from www.microsoft.com if you experience
problems with applications that use this extension.

Tks, I have but it has made no difference, these dll's are still missing. The
only problem I am having is playing certain DOS educational games for the
kids.When pressing install the dos window briefly flashes & then vanishes. I
thought DirectX may be causing the problem?

I do not think, that DOS applications use DirectX. I would start here:
"Troubleshooting MS-DOS-Based Programs in Windows"
