DirectX - Missing Files

Running the DirectX Diagnostic Tool I get the following note on the
DirectXFiles Tab.
"Several files
(microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D.dll,MS.DirectX.DirectDraw.dll.MS.DirectXInput.dll,etc) are missing! You should reinstall DirectX to get latest version."
I have reinstalled DirectX 9c and I continue to get this note.
Please help-how do I get rid of it and could it possibly account for my
Windows Media Player often encountering a network error?

Steve, go here and download and install DirectX Eradicator. Remove
DirectX. Restart and reinstall it.

Anything else you can suggest would be appreciated.
