Direction combine several excel worksheets, drop down lists and da

I need to find the best way to collect data from several users and then
combine all the responses without just cut and past. The data collected
would be in an excel sheet with drop down fields. I found I had to removed
all the functionality added to the sheet to get just the raw data compiled?
