first off, if you have a reply PLEASE e-mail me at
gypsiesoul1978@wmconnect because i may never find this

Second, i have no earthly idea where adaptec directcd is
on my computer and neither does my computer. when i
search for adaptec, directcd, or anything like that, i
get no results.
ok, everytime i start my computer i get a message telling
me that directcd will make windows unstable and is being
disabled. i forget what i searched for, either directcd
or easy cd something-or-other and i got the following
message:
The software for Adaptec DirectCD is not compatible with
this version of Microsoft Windows and will be disabled
during the upgrade. It is recommended that you uninstall
this software before continuing the upgrade.

For more information about this software, or to obtain a
version that runs on this version of Microsoft Windows,
visit the manufacturer's Web site.

If this software was packaged with your computer or CD
Recorder, you should also check with the manufacturer of
the hardware to find out if there is an update to this
software.

For a list of software supported by this version of
Microsoft Windows, see the Microsoft Windows XP
Compatibility List at
http://www.microsoft.com/isapi/redir.dll?

Version 5 of Roxio Easy CD Creator with Direct CD(used to be called Adaptec
ezcd creator). Version 4 was probably pre-installed when you bought the
computer. You need version 5 or higher to burn cd's with this program in XP.
Check out there website:
