Direct Sound setting

Running windows xp. Sound does not work. error msg.
states that no audio hardware is available. Also receive
msg. that Direct Sound Settings not available.....Checked
in device mgr. and it showed that all devices were
working properly.

Situation has been rectified by downloading the newest
Realtek AC97 driver.......
