Direct parallel connection

Hi,
the direct parallel connection to a windows xpe system only functions if the
firewall is disabled on the xpe system. How can I establish parallel
connections with activated firewall? Which component or which registry
settings have to be set?

Hi Akusoft. You may find it easiest to handle this situation by including
the Windows Firewall Control Panel component in your runtime. Then you will
be able to enable and disable the Firewall for the Direct Parallel
Connection from within the runtime. You can access the settings for that by
right-clicking on the DPC in "Network Connections" and selecting "Change
firewall settings" (since the DPC would be identified as another network
connection similar to Local Area Connection).

That way, you can enable the firewall on your regular LAN connection, but
keep it disabled on the DPC. Beyond that, I'm not sure what settings you'd
need to change in Target Designer before building.
