direct connect win2k with winxp-home

I have a computer runing win 2k and a laptop on win xp, is
there a way to go cable to cable (cat5)without using my
phone line? have ethernet on both.

Get yourself a CAT5 patch cable but make sure it's a Cross-Over
cable.
