Direct Cable Connect on LPT1

I get the message "the network path not found" When I
enter the name of the host computer. On a Windows XP
computer as gust and a Windows 98 as host computer with a
direct cable connection on the parallel ports that both
computers show connected.

If some one can give me some ideas on what to do next I
would appreaciate it.

I used this same setup to migrate from 98 to xp by following the step by
step instructions at http://www.lpt.com/Support/DCC-SetUp/dcc-setup.htm The
setup for 9x host to xp guest is near the bottom of the page. There is
also a good faq on a previous page.
