dimming a song in powerpoint

I am making a slideshow for my brothers wedding and I was wondering how you
dim a song in powerpoint? I have office XP. I tried many different things
and nothing seems to help. Thank you for your help in advance.
 
PowerPoint only plays audio files as they are created. If you need the
sound/volume to fade, you'll need to edit the file in an audio editor. There
are a couple available that are free. Do a Google search for Audacity and
GoldWave.
