Add song to play one after another in PowerPoint

Hello!
I am working on a presentation for my in-law's 50th wedding anniversary. I
want to add a few of their favorite songs to play in the background while the
slides scroll. I have succeded in getting the first song added and it plays
while the slides scroll. However, the second song doesn't start when the
first is done. I have added all the song files to the first slide and did
the timing so I can tell the second song when to start that way. I have also
added the second song to the specific slide where it should start and that
didn't work either. any suggestions? Thanks! BTW I'm using PowerPoint 2007
and Windows Vista. Thanks for your time.

Use a freeware program called Audacity and combine all your songs as one then insert that into PowerPoint

Make sure that the slide you want the song to start on comes after the
previous song finishes, and that the sound is actually inserted onto that
slide. Then, check the Animations tab -> Custom Animations, and select the
sound in the animations pane on the right hand side. In the "Start" field,
make sure it says "With Previous" or "After Previous," not "On Click" or "On
Trigger," and that the song comes before any animations you may have on the
slide (assuming you want the song to start at the beginning of the slide, and
not after some other animation).

If you want the song to begin immediately after the previous song, locate
the slide where the previous song ends, and time how long into the slide the
song lasts. Insert the new song into that slide as above, then right click
on the sound in the Custom Animation pane, and select "Timing," then enter
the amount timed earlier. You may need to fine tune the timing to get it
just right, but this should work.

I suspect this can also be achieved by inserting the sound into the Master
Slide(s), but I haven't yet figured out exactly how that would be
accomplished.
