My Dell Dimension 8300 starts to boot, but immediately shuts down and displays to avoid damages shuts down. Does the same thing in SAFE mode.

The following message appears

A kernal thread terminated while holding a mutex

Xxx STOP: 0X4000008A(0X81EF7D08,0X81EF68F8,0X00000000,0X000000)

I think a drive may be bad. But how can I fix if I can not boot?

Thanks for helping.

usually, but not always, a hardware failure, general culprit is the video card. We need more details on your system.

... in tough cases you may need to consult a professional shop for hardware diagnosis and repair.
