That depends on what outputs the camera has - I'm assuming it doesn'
have firewire since it's an 'old' camera... but you're only looking fo
software? How are you connecting it to your pc right now
Use the installation CD that came with the camera to install the software
During the installation you will be prompted to connect the USB cable and
the AV cable to your PC so you can download the videos and/or photos.
If all else fails, read instructions. If you do not have an owners manual, go
here.

No I'm not I've discovered! The camera has an i link digital out put, an s
video id2 jack, a LANC jack and an audio/video id2 jack. My pc has a s
video, and usb. I thought the s video may work. My computer information tells
me there is an onbord IEEE 1394 port, but I assume this must be inside the
casing somewhere
Problem is , I have no installation cd and the camera only has an I Link jack
, an s video id 2 and an audio /video jack. It is a DCR-TRV120E and I
can find no available instruction/manual or programs from Sony available for
download. I am assuming I will have to purchase a video capture card with a
fire wire port. However my computer specs does tell me there is an IEEE 1394
port on bord
