All of a sudden out of the blue. My scanner stopped working. I recieved in
99, yes I know it's old, but until a few weeks ago it was fine. So for the
last 2 or 3 weeks, I have tried everthing I knew and everything HP could find
on the subject.
But, Windows XP will not accept the HP digital signature. I have set the
signing to ignore. But Windows blocks it somehow. I have removed any and all
HP reference off my machine registry and searched files and folders. Deleted
evrything, re-downloaded the new drivers, again, but it's always the same.
After all that, it's still no digital signature. My scanner stops responding,
and the program that I am using to scan, no matter which one, freezes up. HP
Scanjet is not in the add and remove programs, I don't know why. Please, Can
anyone help me. I can't afford a new on at this time.
