Digital pictures to TV

I am totally new to digital photography. I took pictures at a quilt show and
got permission from the organizers to share the pictures. I need to put the
pictures on a CD so that I can show them to my churches Senior Ministry. I
cannot find instructions on how to do this. I would like, if possible for the
pictures to be like a slide show. My camera is a Kodak EasyShare P850. I have
Windows XP

If you plan to view the images on a TV and
if your DVD player has the JPEG option...
all you have to do is create a data CD and
insert it in the dvd player.

And PhotoStory 3 might be
worth a try:

Your camera is fine to do this.

Now you need software to copy the photos from your hard drive to a CD or a
DVD disk so that this CD or DVD disk can be played in a DVD player to
display on a TV.
1. Do you have a DVD burner on your computer? If so, copy the photos to a
DVD-R disc. You need software to do this. Three popular choices:
http://www.photodex.com/products/proshowgold/
or
http://ww2.nero.com/enu/index.html
or
http://www.roxio.com/enu/default.html?ccid=google&o_e25=Paid Search&gclid=COnCxZbbxIYCFUAPFQodrhoFgQ

Copying to DVD will give you the best quality. If you have a DVD burner on
your computer, you must have software that came with it to copy photos (data
files) to a DVD. This will work but not as fancy as the above software.

2. If you do not have a DVD burner, you have a CD burner. The same software
can be used to copy to a CD-R but the quality will not be as good. If
copying to a CD-R you can use XP. You simply open the folder containing the
photos, select the photos you want to copy, then look at the menu on the
left under Picture Tasks and click on the command Copy to CD. Then just
follow the directions on your screen to copy to a CD-R.

hi,
If you have a CD burner or a DVD burner, using Nero burning software you
have options for outing these images in a CD-R or DVD-R so that they can be
played on any VCD player or DVD player attached to a TV.

Thanks so very much for the replies. Unfortunately I am still out to sea. I
downloaded RAD Video Tools. I have printed the help files and tried to follow
the instructions. I still don’t have a clue.

I am going to Best Buy this week-end to shop for DVD burner software.

What questions do I need to ask?

Virtually any DVD burning software will offer a "make photo slide show"
option. You'll be able to select which photos you want to include,
what order to use, how much time between changes, and the kind of
transition(s) you want to use for the changes.

The program will take care of all the details.
