Digital image starter edition Photo Story

G

Guest

Hello,

I am trying out Digital image and was very happy with the organization
features!!! I was able to organize a timeline and label all the pictures of
my 2 year old. Hard to believe he is only 2 years and 7 months but has been
photographed more than 3300 times. So I want to create a photo story or
slide show that I can add captions and music to. The photo story will
support 300 photos in the starter edition.

Does the same limitation exist in all full versions and suites?

The next problem I am having is that because me sharing my photos and poor
organizational skills I have several copies of some photos. I have at least
2 copies of every photo as they are backed up by Windows One care.

Can I make the software notice duplicates and only add unique photos?

I'm new at this so my questions might seem foolish but I couldn't find any
info in the online manuals.

Thanks,

Sean Dowell

First...if you are considering the purchase
of the latest Digital Image Suite Anniversary
Edition...the Sunday ad for "Staples" offers
MS DIS Anniversary Edition "Free" after two
mail-in rebates. Prices effective Sunday,
Apr 15th through Saturday, Apr 21st.

( I see that the site says Out Of Stock but
it still may be worth a try to contact your
local Staples...I saw one report today that
they offered to order a copy for someone)

Now to answer your question...yes, the
300 image limit still applies but it's possible
to use Windows Movie Maker to combine
two or more PhotoStorys. And...the retail
version of PhotoStory 3.1 has an option
to burn VCDs.

No, but in the Library you can Right Click
an image choose, "Find Similar". Then
you could Right Click/Delete the images
you don't wish to retain.

-Showquoted text -

You can use Wondershare DVD Slideshow Builder which is very powerful
and very popular now, many friends and I like it very much. It's very
easy to create a customized DVD slideshow with photos and videos, and
to add music, transitions, and cool pan/zoom effects and make
beautiful DVD menus. Also, you can create .mp4, .wmv, .avi, .3gp
movies from videos in other formats for our iPod, Zune and 3GP Cell
Phones, Youtube .etc.

To be important, it has great photo and video editing function that
can meet all our needs. For example, you can perfect your photos with
attractive frames, special mask effects, and rich Cliparts, Wordarts
or Text. And it is easy to crop music to sync with slideshow. You can
use the video edit function to trim the video, add the caption and
frame to the video, and change the original audio with your favorite
music, etc.

You can download it free here

And a specific tutorial is here
