I have a new Toshiba lap top, SatelliteP25-S5093.
I can't get my digital camera to work. I have the bus hookup.
I was told this was to old and the wizards would not read it.
Is this true.
Help.
Thanks
Bruce

I have the exact same Toshiba lap top.
No problem connecting a Sony S-70 or a Minolta A-1 via the USB port.
If you have an older camera that was working on 98 you should go to the
manufacturer site and see if they have an updated driver for XP. This is not
necessary for new camera, they are recognized automatically by XP when
connecting them via the USB port.
After connecting your camera, have you tried opening My Computer and looked
under Devices with Removable Storage. Your camera should be listed there and
you open it just like opening any drive to see your picture files and copy
them to your hard drive.
What kind of camera do you have? How old is it?
