Different users, different shortcuts?

I have put my kids on the computer as different users. However, I don't seem
to be able to set them up with different short cuts to their programmes.
Each time I delete one from my desktop ('Barbies adventures' for example!) it
disappears from theirs, which is not what I want. Any ideas?

Instead of deleting the shortcut from your desktop copy it to
the following folder (where KIDSACCOUNT should be replaced with
the user name you gave to their accounts):

C:\Documents and Settings\KIDSACCOUNT\Desktop

Every user's desktop is a mixture of their Desktop folder plus
the one for the "All Users" account. The shortcut you're
deleting is located in C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Desktop. Once you remove it from that folder, no one has
it on their desktop.

When you confirm that it show up on the kid's desktops, you can
go back and delete it from your desktop.

The same principle applies to All Programs on the Start Menu.
It's a mixture of these two folders:

C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Start Menu\Programs
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs

If you want to have Barbie's Adventures show up only on the
kids menu, move it out of the All Users folder and put it in
the kid's folders.

Good luck
