Different results on different computers when inserting Ole object

I have Access 2003 with SP2 installed at work on my desktop with Windows
2000, and the same thing on my laptop with Windows XP. I have a form with a
bound ole object frame that works fine on the XP laptop but on the 2000
desktop will only show tiny icon-type bitmaps. All properties are identical.
I even copied and pasted the form to be sure I hadn't missed something.
This is happening on insertion. I put the DB from the laptop on a thumb
drive and tried it on the desktop. The .bmps I already had embedded disply
properly, but new ones I insert are icon-sized. I am not checking the icon
box in the wizard. It's not displaying an icon - just an icon-sized picture.
What am I doing wrong?

OLE Embedding uses the registered OLE Server application for the particular file-type to store the object
when you insert it. If you have different registered OLE servers on the different machines you will get
different behaviour. This is one of the drawbacks of OLE Embedding (but by no means the most serious).
Open the table and check what text is displayed in your OLE Object field for one of the records that ‘works’.
This should help you to identify the OLE Server application that was used to store the image. Make sure
that this application is installed and registered on the other machine (and any others where you will user
the database).

Thank you - I have made myself completely crazy with this! I actually have
the same image program on all machines, but my desktop had a slightly earlier
version. I updated it, and no problem now. I need to embed pics because of
some continuous forms, but there will only be two of us adding pics (and not
many, thank goodness). Can't wait for 12!

I have the same problem but don't quite understand the solution. In the
database that works "Bitmap Image' is displayed in the Picture field and in
the "Problem" on "Package" is displayed. Can you please be more specific
about what I should do to solvethe problem.
Thankyou
