Different resolotion for each device

Hi NG!

I am using ATI Control Center for my Mobility Radeon X700,
and can`t seem to find a option to change each`s device resolution.

Since I am running 1280x800 on my notebook, I have to switch to 800x600 for
watching videos on my TV.
Before unplugging I have to switch back the resolution...

Is there no easier way?
One would think that it`s possible to leave my notebooks res, while running
a lower res for the TV.

Looking forward to hearing from the pros ;-)

I am having a similar issue with my desktop LCD monitor (1920x1200) and my
LCD HDTV (1920x1080). When switching between the two, I **have to** manually
change the resolution in CCC. I've searched and asked questions but haven't
found an easy way. Why can't CCC remember the resolution for each device so
that CCC can automatically apply a new res when the user switches between
monitors?

Can't you just run extended desktop? When you play a video, send it to the
second monitor (the TV).

That works with most common video apps, but when you try to push over a
powerpoint presentation for example: No can do...

Haven't played with a second monitor very much but are you trying different
settings in Theater mode? It's in the Video settings.

I can`t seem to find the Theaert mode setting :/
Can you be a little more specific?
Should this be in my control center?

It's in CCC but I view it in Advanced mode. Should be easy to find that way.

Looks like in Basic view, it's under Quick Settings. "Set Video Playback on
Secondary Monitor".

Mhm, I guess I am using an older CCC version since I can`t find a way to
switch to "Advanced mode" ;-(

I didn't try CCC until newer versions of MMC seemed to require it but I'd be
very surprised if every version of it didn't have the Advanced mode.

If your using the older Control Panel it still has Theater mode but getting
to it is much different. Try searching Help for Theater. Has to be there
somewhere. Even my pre-Radeon card has it.
