Differences in XP Editions?

I'm buying a new system and know that I need the XP Professional version for accessing my network at the office. I'm just wondering if the new XP Media Center Edition contains the necessary connections for that as well. If you know of a link at Microsoft that explains the differences in their editions I would love to have it.
Thanks,

Don

WinXP Media Center Edition is a _superset_ (iow, it does
_everything_ WinXP Pro can do, plus contains additional multi-media
features) of WinXP Pro. WinXP MCE is available to the general
consumer market only as on OEM product on specifically designed
systems.
