Media edition to Professional edition

I work from a home office on a network (secure application manager) over DSL.

I am buying a new PC, and the one I want comes with Media Edition XP.

I would prefer Professional Edition and am not sure Media will work.

Do I have to buy a PC with Professional Edition installed?

THANKS

Hello,

The choice is yours. All applications that have been designed for Windows
XP, work on Windows XP Media Center Edition and Windows XP Professional
Edition alike. The only features that Windows XP MCE does not have are
joining a domain and caching of credentials, which again can be enabled by
some known, unsupported workarounds.

So my Secure Aps Manager does not care about "XP MCE does not have are
joining a domain and caching of credentials" - what ever that means?
