I realize this is not the correct forum to post this, but I didn't get any
response from a different forum.

I recently bought a Sony digital8 camcorder and have a few questions
regarding the cassette tapes.

Should I use only Sony cassettes to get the best recording quality?
Is one brand as good or better than Sony?
Do the higher price tapes record better quality?

Thanks,

Roln

I've use both in the same camcorder and don't see a difference.... I use
Maxell tapes today because they are available at my local Sam's store at
reasonable prices... in my Sony camcorders (Hi8 and Mini-DV).

I've read that you should stay with a particular brand tape because of
different lubricants used... but I don't have personal experiences other
than positive ones with different tapes over many years.

Thanks, PapaJohn.....
I'll continue getting the Sony tapes at Wal-Mart.
