difference between the language of windows and softwares

I got a french version of xp but now i'm in england, i
want to install an english version of aol but it says that
can do dommages on the computer, is it true ? Can I
install without problems?

The basic AOL software is in English, as is the basic XP software. No
damage, either to your hardware or software should take place, as long as
the AOL is willing to install itself, which I'm sure it will.
