Dialup auto installed by website

-----Original Message-----
Hello All

I have recently encounter a problem while connected to the internet where a
dialup network connection automatically downloaded itself, disconnected me,
and attempted to dialup itself automatically.

Is there a patch available to prevent this happening without being asked for
my permission?

Thanks in advance

Al

.
Hi Al: spywareblaster will prevent many types of dialers
from installing here is a link for that

http://www.safer-networking.org/ Spybot
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html
http://www.wilderssecurity.net/spywareguard.html
http://www.lavasoft.de/ Ad-aware
http://www.merijn.org/downloads.html (CWS)cool web
shedder and hijack this

Also in internet options>Security>custom level these
active X configurations should be set to prompt:
1.Download signed active x controls> prompt
2.Download unsigned active x controls> prompt
3.Initialize and script active x controls not marked as
safe> prompt

all other ones can be set to enable the only other option
is to disable active x altogether,
But since I've installed spywareblaster I have had zero
dialer downloads.
