Dial-up wizard problem

When I try to set up a new dial up connection in XP Pro
the wizard keeps pointing to a modem that doesnt exist
making the new dial up connection worthless. I cant find
a way to change the default modem/com port so the wizard
will recognize the real modem. Any thoughts?
 
Open device manager and set the modem properties and/or look
in control panel for modems.
