Dial Up Networking

Hi,
Can anyone tell me how I can setup a dial up networking connection to my Win
XP Pro PC ? I'd like to be able to dial into my PC at home from my laptop
when abroad to be able to access my files, e-mail etc. I've tried PC
Anywhere but this is incompatible with some of my hatdware and simply won't
work. Is it possible to just simply 'dial in' ? If not, does anyone know of
any reliable software to do the job ? Many thanks.

Regards Colin.

Laplink is a good alternative.

You can use the "Remote Desktop". Just enter the IP, User
and Password of the PC you are dialing and you can have
full access to this PC. Note that you have to enable the
Remote Desktop in My Computer > Properies > Remote.

Hi,
Thanks for that. One query though, can I just dial into the host PC or do I
have to dial up the internet first ? I need to dial straight in if possible
and I can't see any option to allow me to do this. TIA.

Regards Colin.
