Dial-up networking ..disappeared ! !

I had to reinstall the O.S. that came up with my computer
which is Windows XP Proffessional and from the point that
I did this, the dial-up networking that I used in order to
get connected to the Internet through a dial-up modem
disappeared..! (I mean the whole thing.. settings and the
option to create a new Internet connection though a dial-
up modem!)

What shall I do for getting to the Internet again from my
brand new PC with Windows XP installed?

Assistance is urgent.
