Just in case it's relevant, avoid Norton Internet Security 2003 OEM version.
( Norton Internet Security 2003 6.0
Norton Personal Firewall 2003 6.0 ). ...well it was a bit newer than
previous versions I'd bought, if not the latest version ! I initially
bought it for myself a few weeks ago ...or is it months now..., and had
problems with up to 20 dial up network connection boxes appearing at start
up, after I'd installed it. I installed it into four other computers, as a
double check, ... should that be "quable check"
...and got the same
problem on each. So I had to uninstall it, and install my older version
and do about 8mb's of online updates across 3 or 4 Liveupdates...
AND of course, there's always LOTS of settings to turn off in your apps. and
Windows media player etc. that have web access settings set to "on" or
similar !
I still love Norton !
