DHTML Disablled

I can't get DHTML to work if it is in a shared boarder. If I copy the
"Button" (for swapping purposes) onto the web page, the DHTML commands are
no longer disabled.

Why is this?

I resolved this by creating the button on my webpage then moving it onto the
left shared border where it was required. Seems to be a strange way of
doing.
