dhcp

I have a question about windows 2003 server. I am going set my server as a
dhcp server. However, I also have a router that is issuing dhcp currently. Im
not sure what IP I should tell dhcp setup the router is to use(the internal
or external ip of the router) and if it is the internal ip how do I tell dhcp
what it is before dhcp is setup? Also do I have to turn off dhcp in the
router. It is owned by my isp and they claim that it will not have to be
turned off. Any help is appreciated.

You should let either the server or the router perform DHCP services and
turn off the other. I would suggest that it is to your advantage to let the
Windows Server 2003 do the DHCP, especially if you intend to do WINS, DNS or
browsing over the network.
