Hi,

Getting alot of DHCP duplicate IP addresses on a network
with Win2k server. Machine is MultiHomed with the second
adapter disabled and unbound to all networking services.
How can I resolve the Duplicate IP's being assigned?

Trun on conflict detection and this prevent the server from giving out duplicate IP addresses. To turn this on, open the DHCP
MMC. Right click on the server in the left pane and choose properties. Go to the Advanced tab. Set the Conflict detection
attempts to 3.

You may also want to verify that you don't have a second DHCP server on the network. If you are using a NAT router the DHCP
service on this device may have inadvertently been turned on.

Thank you,
Mike Johnston
