dhcp over wireless network

We have been using dhcp across our network from a win2k domain controller in
our central office. we recently replaced cisco aironet 350 bridges with
proxim mp11a bridges. since then we have not been able to assign ip's via
dhcp to those computers across the wireless network. If the computer was on
at the time we replaced the cisco bridges, that computer will still get its
ip address from the dhcp server. but, if the computer is off and its dhcp
lease expires, it will not get a new ip address and we have to assign it a
static ip.

any help is greatly appreciated,

mike

Typically a "switch" or "bridge" would have no effect on DHCP because those
devices do not stop broadcast and do not filter at Layer3 or 4. So you
would have to check the Proxim documentation to see if these have features
you didn't know about that can effect DHCP queries.

Check their "Advanced Security" features such as the WORP for protential
problems there. You may have to ask the Support people at Proxima for
specifics.
