Description
Your computer was not able to renew its address from the network (from the DHCP Server) for the Network Card with network address 000Dxxxxxxxx. The following error occured:
The semaphore timeout period has expired. . Your computer will continue to try and obtain an address on its own from the network address (DHCP) server.

I cannot ping my dhcp server but I am able to release and renew my ip address. I'm having this problem on two Win2K machines. Also, I cannot ping my terminal server but I am able to ping my other servers. This error appears in my event logs. If you need more information, please ask.

This happened at my work when we put in new cisco
switches. Have you changed any hardware on your network.
I had to turn off spanning protocol on the switches and
the error no longer appeared on the pc's.
